WI'08/accept (regular paper Wr605)

Hi, all !
This is another good news from our paper submissions. Congratulation to Camel and Young since their work is accepted by IEEE WI with its acceptance rate as 19%. Camel spent lots of time on this work and Young helps a lot on revising some parts of this paper. They may have two trips this year.
Camel gets his PAKDD paper and WI paper though this work is rejected by WWW this year. However, we also learn something. Please keep working and your working efforts will pay off the results. Thanks !

Hi, all !
- Sorry that I am busy in paper writing and forgot to update you some good news. Here are some good news from our lab.
- Oshin and York's paper is accepted by ACM Workshop SensorKDD (with ACM SIGKDD 2008). Now, Oshin may play some gambling games in Las Vegas.
Yu's work is accepted by IEEE International Conf. on Parallel and Distributed Systems. Yu is one of students from other lab.
After his graduation, he is very willing to pay his working time for the paper writing. 3. All our MS 2 students passed their oral defenses. I believe some of their works will be published soon. Please keep working on your works and show your passion on your works. I have told some of you that I work harder even in summer vacation.

Dou-Yang's paper is Accepted by ACM CIKM'07

This year, Dou-Yang's paper is accepted by ACM CIKM this year.
I have just showed the email interactions between Dou-Yang and me when we prepare ACM CIKM submission. You will know how intensive email communication we did and the hard work done by Dou-Yang. As you all know that Dou-Yang has one journal paper with Dr. Xu (PSU), this time, he proposed a whole new algorithm for KNN himself. Let us work hard together and show me your motivation on your research works. Here are some information for you.

It is our great pleasure to inform you that your paper has been accepted as a full paper by CIKM 2007. This year, we received 512 submissions. We were only able to accepted 17% as full papers and another 9% as short papers. Congratulations on your achievement!

Min-Hsien Chang's Paper is Accepted by ICCCN'07

Hello !
Remember that lightblue's paper is rejected by InfoCom 2007 ? Now, his paper is accepted by IEEE Conference. This work is originated from our lab. and co-work with one Ph.D student from Prof. Y.-C. Tseng. Though his work is rejected by InfoCom, we have revised and improved the paper. Finally, this paper is accepted. Therefore, I hope that you could learn the processing of academic research. First, you should come up with one paper if you think that this is a great idea or you claim some selling points. Then, go through three steps (slides->draft->simulation/experiments). Finally, we should solicit some comments from conferences. If you don't come up with one paper, you will never learn something. Also, in order to increase the acceptance rate of your paper, please prepare our papers/works well.

T.-H. You's Paper is Accpeted

Dear all,
Thyou's paper entitled "Protect Moving Trajectories with Dummies" has been accepted by the international workshop on Privacy-Aware Location-based Mobile Services (PALMS) in conjunction with MDM, May 11, Mannheim, Germany. This paper receives very good reviews and ranked very high among submissions. Also, the PC members are all experts in location privacy fields. Before our Chinese New Year vacation, Thyou and I worked very hard in preparing this paper. His effort is very rewarding and he will also have a trip in Germany to present this paper. Let's congratulate Thyou for his nice job done. Let's all work hard and produce more excellent research results.

我們第二屆的碩士班學生楊慧友的論文,已經被接受了! 希望他的好消息也能帶 給大家動力繼續努力! DASFAA 的acceptance rate 也不是很高, 去年 Prof. W.-C. Lee 也有 DASFAA 的 論文 ! 我們目標當然是希望能夠作的更好, 往 Top conferences 邁進!這是我們 要繼續努力的目標 !
